Fangirl Ranting: I can't even begin to say how thrilled I am to have this little lovely in my collection. This is, without a doubt, one of the most formative and important scenes for Mikagami. The moment his sister dies and he becomes the guardian of Ensui. The moment that pushes him onto the path of revenge that seems to all but consume him as he travels and competes with Recca and the rest of Team Hokage. So, yeah ... lots of love for this one just because of how important and rare this particular scene is.

But this is also one gorgeous cel. I have a soft spot for monochromatic cels, and this one just hits it spot on all over the place for being monochrome. The color tones blend perfectly and are soft and even. I love the pose Mikagami is in here. He looks so young and vulnerable as he clutches Ensui to him -- the only thing left of his family and their legacy. And the expression on his face is just incredible. Those eyes -- they seem to say it all, don't they?
